We'll forgive you guys for straying as long as you come back to check in on us from time to time!
Also, every time I have to login and click "Remember Me," I start to sing Otis Redding.

it's cool. Amanda, Candace and i will keep this forum alive. haha.
Yeah we will :)
Note to future self: So you feel like garbage and only have an appetite for homemade cinnamon french toast with cream cheese - Not a good enough reason to eat four slices of afore mentioned french toast and/or afore mentioned cream cheese. Not a good enough reason at all. Not even close. Don't do that again. BAD IDEA.
I know, self. I hear you. "But it tastes so yummy and I feel so... not good." - and self, I appreciate that. Really, I do. However, future self, what you fail to realize (what with your vertigo and inability to think clearly for more than two minutes) is that this course of action will simply lead to a tomorrow that matches today! See? Bad idea. Have the soup.
Note to future everyone else: Ditto. Also, if you've yet to enjoy Projector, go check out Amanda's latest post & remedy that.
Ohhh... such a good thing I left that note to myself. I'm going to heed my advice today.
What do y'all have planned for the weekend?
I may or may not disappear for a bit. Tomorrow morning Abe & I will be packing up the whole family & tossing them on a plane to Orlando. We shall not return until Monday night.
Love you all. Take care.
Be good.
Totally Random .. but this is totally sick!!!! I'm not sure how you "practice" this.....
Have fun, Candace!
@Bill - how the heck does he brake? i've had dreams about stuff like that.
Despite my lack of posting, I did come home from Orlando as planned. It was brilliant.
@Bill - I love it. I think I've seen it in a movie somewhere, but I can't quite place it. For some reason Jim Carrey comes to mind, though... I'll have to figure it out.
@Levi - Your comment reminds me of my dream (*cough* nightmare *cough*) last night. I spent the evening yesterday making rootbeer floats & selling them for my Special Olympics team. While we were there, a Girl Scout troop was walking around the store chanting "Girl Scout cookies are yummy... in your tummy!" over & over again. When I got to sleep last night, I dreamt that I was stuck on "It's a Small World After All" in DisneyWorld and that instead of the song, they were playing the Girl Scout's chant on repeat. I am so happy to be awake.
@Anyone New - I know nobody's posted to this link in 2 weeks, but it isn't dead - Levi's as SXSW right now. Things will no doubt pick up again after next week (gotta give the guy a chance to recover).
Anyone have excellent fundraiser ideas?
bah I'm terrible at fundraising ideas. just awful. Sorry.
In other news. I'm so depressed that I was too broke to attend SXSW even though it's only 3 hrs away.
Fundraising...hmmmmm.....
Boy Toy Auction? hehehehehehehe :)
*sigh*
No, seriously....
What kind of fundraising are we talking? There's the car wash route, or a bake sale (or the combination thereof). Spaghetti dinners, Yard sales...
Just don't use any of those fundraising books with wrapping paper and other useless crap.
Food works -- candy bars, that sorta thing. People eat.
And in the spirit of my original suggestion, you could always hold a gong show and charge admission.
We're planning a big benefit concert & we've been selling rootbeer floats, ski passes & hockey tickets.
There's supposed to be a silent auction at the concert... perhaps I could ask one of the coaches (people call him "Tall, Dark, and Handsome" behind his back rather than using his name) if we could auction off a date with him.
Niiiiice. Good luck!
Thanks! (I'll need it - we haven't been able to get the committee's *official* approval yet, though they've said they will approve. Ugh.)
GUESS WHAT! No, I meant that exclamation point - it's an order, start guessing.
Guessed? Good.
Now... you're wrong. The "what" is that Kate & I got to meet & hang out on Thursday night! How cool is that?
I could've guessed correctly...
...but only because I saw her blog to that effect pop up on my "Levi Weaver" google alert.
Congrats to y'all! It is great fun getting to meet people with whom you've only interacted online. I have met so many awesome folks that way.
Indeed. New friends are always fun!
well. not new, but friends in general.
I'm more certain than ever that I need to trot around the globe a bit & meet the rest of you.
Big news in my little world: We launched our website! We've only got the welcome page up & there's not much there, but www.AnimePython.com is no longer stuck on that ugly green "this site is being constructed" page provided by our FTP. As we figure out how to use the stupid tools that came with the domain, more will find its way onto the site. Never thought I'd want to build a site in html line by line again - but at least I knew how to manage that! Knowing html appears to be like knowing binary or Welsh - used to be impressive, but now entirely obsolete & much with the making people say, "Why did you take the time to learn THAT?"
I need to find some kid in a high school web design class to show me how to run this stupid thing.
We're slowly but surely figuring out this website business. Conformity regarding margins makes me feel a touch violent.
Anyway - I'm looking for some help. Anyone who would like to give me their top 5 (or 10) list of Futurama episodes along with a reason why each pick was picked, I love you. Seriously, we're working on a HUGE Futurama featurette & we need as many people to weigh in as possible. Email anything for the website to candace@AnimePython.com
Thanks!
Psst... any gamers out there? I'm looking for reviews or articles concerning any of the Final Fantasy games, too. Know an artist who's trying to get published somewhere? Send 'em my way. For the next two weeks, we'll be accepting pretty much any new content related to our themes (anime/general animation/video games).
