  1. so besides The Letters of Dr. Kurt Godel, what other cds are you excited about getting?

I just picked up Daisy by Brand new and I'm in love. can't stop listening to it.
With my next paycheck I will be buying the Debut album of Dead Man's Bones which features a childrens conservatory choir from California. I like what i've heard from it so far so i'm interested to see how the rest is going to turn out.
Also, because i'm a nerd, I will be buying I bought a blue car today by Alan Cumming. I love that Scottish man. It 's a recording of his one man show that he talked about on Chelsea Lately a few nights ago.

I want the new Biffy Clyro album and that's it. Just got the new Muse album and it's great, not as amazing as their last album or origins of symmetry but still very Muse and good.

  5. i just got an iTunes gift card -- next time it and my computer are in the same room together, I'm getting Daisy and also "I and Love and You" by the Avett Brothers.

also, I mentioned her in another thread, but Erika Werry has a new CD out that I got a copy of when I was in Toronto - I don't know if it's on iTunes yet, but you need to find a way to get a copy. Her songwriting style is so so so so unique. one of my all-time favorites.

  6. My roommate just bought one of the older Avett Brothers Albums from Itunes and I enjoyed that. So I'll have to look into the new one.

I'd say I Like Trains (http://www.iliketrains.co.uk/) who have an EP just coming out soon - you can order it from their site.

It sounds like a slower, slightly rockier version of Levi, and the lyrics don't have the same element of surprise and wit but it's pretty good.

  9. Hey Levi, what did you think about "I, and Love, and You"? It is really different from the old stuff.

Also, the new Kings of Convenience record is really good. I would highly recommend it.

  11. Ooh, I thought I'd replied to Jonathan.
    I thought "I&L&Y" was good-not-great.
I preferred emotionalism, as a whole.

I don't have any that I'm excited about coming up (that I can think of) but I've bought a few lately

(aaand they are all on my other computer. Hold this thought til tomorrow.)

  12. Patty Griffin's "Downtown Church" just came out on Tuesday, and I have been loving it.

This coming Tuesday, "Almost Everything I Wish I'd Said the Last Time I Saw You" by Wakey!Wakey! comes out, and I am waiting with baited breath.

"I and Love and You" is SUCH a good song. I like the album, too. It's not my favorite or anything, but I'm glad I bought it.

I am really enjoying Relient K's forget and not slow down... I got it awhile back and was not into how not like the old stuff it is. Relient k is one of my all time favorite bands , and I have always enjoyed the total pop punk element they have. but this album is a bit more mellow and just has some good relationship/ break up songs on it. i picked it up again the other day and just started listening to it again, and am really liking it this time. so check it out!
