HaHaHa. I've watched the seasons so many times over, it's a little easier for me to pinpoint, but I'll still rewatch an episode and think, "Man, that one should have been on my list." It's great when you have a show where ALL the episodes are so good that it's hard to choose between them. Someone asked me my favorite season the other day, and I said, "Ummmmmmm.... three?" But immediately thought of all the stories I love in every other season.

Have you seen the webclip of 8.01? It's floating about the internet and it is hilarious! Dannell will like it, I think, because Julian is funny in it. Looks like Brooke and Julian are gonna go back to their season 6 cuteness and hopefully make me like them again after that whiny crap they pulled all through season 7.

I'm rewatching season 6 with my mom right now and I seriously can't pick favorite episodes. Everytime one ends I decide it's on my top 5 list of the season..... But we've watched like 7 or 8 already. So that doesn't really work. haha.

Do you do Netflix? That's probably the easiest way. Yes, the 40s episode (We Three: My Echo, My Shadow, and Me) was 6.11, so you'd need discs 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Season 6 to finish out that season (11 was the last episode on the 3rd disc of S6), and then Season 7 is 5 discs. So, depending on how quickly you can watch them, you can get a month of Netflix (free if you're a first-timer, or about $17, tax included, if not), and catch her up on the season and a half she missed. Better do it quick!!

Oh, and technically, Chad did not direct 6.11. He wrote the script. Joe Davola directed. I'm reckoning that's probably what you meant, anyway.

Yeah. I've been trying to find somewhere online to watch season 6 & 7 because the last episode my mom got to see was the 40's episode that CCM directed which was episode 11 I believe. I'm trying to get her caught up before the new season but I don't know if that's going to happen since I can't afford to actually buy the seasons at the moment. But hopefully I'll find a way. haha.

Well.
I'm finishing up a business plan tonight and tomorrow. I knew, from traveling and talking to venue owners that there was a lot involved, but I had noooooooo idea. Right now, my biggest weak spot is a Tax Dollar Projection. Allow me to explain:

It looks like it may take historic designation for Bank of America to back out. This is highly unlikely to happen, BUT if it does, and we get the building, there are tax breaks involved. Property Value Freezes, Tax credits that I can sell to corporations, etc. The city of Fort Worth right now has a $73MM budget deficit. So as unlikely as it was before, designation now becomes impossible. UNLESS...

I can prove that since the BofA deal results in a net loss of jobs (it's a consolidation of 2 existing branches) and leaves two buildings empty, my business would not only prevent that loss of jobs, but provide a net increase of jobs (probably 25-30, given the 31,000 ft of retail/office space attached. That's the easy part. The hard part is translating those 20-30 extra jobs + the sales tax differential + the increased business to surrounding restaurants (and THAT tax differential) + the increased property values in the surrounding neighborhood, and THAT tax differential.

In short, I need an economics professor with a couple of nights to sit down and sort through this with me.

The business plan is going to make sense, I'm pretty sure, but convincing the city that this is not only beneficial on a "makes the city a better place to live" level, but also on a dollars and cents level, then we might start catching some ears.

Also, once I get the R.O.I. projections done, if any of you feel like investing in a start-up business, let me know. : )

Just a few weeks left till Season 8 (three weeks from yesterday, to be exact). I've been enjoying my S7 DVDs and counting down. My friend that usually Tivos it for me has been having cable issues, and I'm not sure they will be sorted out by then, so I'll have to have a contingency plan in place.

The internet is buzzing with news that Joy is pregnant IRL, which maybe she is, but I am holding out to hear it from her before I believe it. Anyway, the press is saying that "since" she's pregnant, she doesn't want to go past the initial 13 episodes, which may explain why after the CW announced at TCA that they'd ordered a full season of OTH, word from the show itself is sticking with the 13 episode arc. Some would suggest it's now a battle between the CW, which wants a full season (and maybe more seasons beyond this one), and a cast/crew that wants to wrap the series in 13 episodes.

I myself would like to have a full season to end the show (and to announce that sometime very soon), but if Joy is out after 13 episodes, then 13 should be the end. There is no OTH without Naley, and there is no Naley without Joy. Obviously.

Just my take. But the press is always spinning something, and I just want to hear from ol' Mark Schwahn what the deal really is. Until then, I'm just excited for September 14th to arrive.

As you may have noticed, it's back to the basement for this forum. I may never take it down. But the same cannot be said for leviweaver.com

I'll try to keep this short and just say that I have seen the corruption in politics first hand now, and it is just as ugly as I'd imagined. This councilman (and the current owners of the building) have done everything in their power to discredit me as a legitimate hopeful to purchase the building. Once the subject got brought up (by way of a Fort-Worth Star Telegram Reporter) that this was all a scheme for me to bring attention to my music career, I knew that I had to take the site down.

I don't have the time or the means to go about doing something like this, toying with people's emotions and giving them false hope just so that I can sell a few records. That is vile, disgusting, and frankly I can't believe anyone would suggest such a thing was even possible.

But I am learning not to be surprised by the depths to which people will sink to make a quick buck.

So the site, and my music career, are on hiatus (officially).

I'll keep you informed over at http://www.ridgleatheater.org

Amanda and I have been friends for many, many years. Over the years our music tastes have changed drastically and most of them are the total opposite from what the other likes, however, through many road trips and hair dying sessions I have been introduced to many new styles of music and artists that I have never even heard of. One of those artists being Levi Weaver. As, I was sitting here pondering what song I would choose, I had a chance to listen through his albums and realized that there were a few songs that I had been introduced to, but never knew that it was actually Levi Weaver.
The song that I chose was Dear Friend. I chose that song as my favorite not only because I love the tune of the song, but, because as I read down through the lyrics, I began to reflect on them and realize how true they really are in life and relationships and the deeper meaning behind them.
Many thanks to one of my best friends for broadening my musical horizens and I hope you have a very special birthday week!

a long overdue comment: Too much of our heritage is being torn down by developers. They say it is progress, but I beg to differ. Example -- Tearing down YANKEE STADIUM.... seriously???? I can't believe that this historic stadium could not have been re-purposed. It breaks my heart. I'm sure the RIDGLEA ranks right up there with Levi and Heather. I've only see a few pictures of the inside, but it looks like a UNIQUE theater, with amazing details. I'm not sure how you stop the bulldozers and wrecking balls from coming, short of chaining yourself to the front door. I find it hard to believe that there are not enough people in Forth Worth that really care and would speak up to save this landmark from a more innocent time.

Have you tried newspaper ads, concerts at the theater, pickets, what ever it takes to raise awareness?
People have a short attention span.... catch their ear and then they move on to the next thing...
I hope your passion for this project bears fruit and that a compromise can be reached with the bank.

Let's discuss SO RUNS THE WORLD AWAY. Besides LANTERN, what are your favorite tracks?

For me, ANOTHER NEW WORD: is probably my favorite... it is just captivating. The lyrics are beyond amazing... and the images he paints with words... WOW. Very powerful song. FOLK BLOODBATH: sounds like a LEVI title... LOL It's a dark and cheery song, all rolled into one. I find myself singing it at odd times. I still need to research this whole dressing in red thing.... THE CURSE: I love the stream of thought lyrics... (the video is cool too!) CHANGE OF TIME is a great way to start off the CD.

I had no clue that there was another CD (CONQUESTS). I have already orded it Guess I was not paying close attention. Looking forward to playing catch up.

1.) I am really happy for Bill. (So happy that I left a comment on a MySpace blog for the first time in aaaaaages)
2.) I think, since his albums have gotten better as he progresses, you should skip the self-titled, and start with The Golden Age of Radio, but with the understanding that it's a starting point. Listen once or twice, then move on, in order, to Hello Starling (3 listens, minimum), The Animal Years (won't take long to fall in love), The Historical Conquests (yes. yes, yes, yes, he finally made a perfect album!), and So Runs The World Away (I still haven't let this one sink in, believe it or not. It'll happen one night, I'll listen about 6 times in a row and be hooked).

Oh geeeeez. That's an impossible question. I bet most people would probably answer by saying The Animals Years. I, however, first fell in love with Hello Starling, which is not a critic-fave or a fan-fave that I know of -- but we do tend to love the same things, don't we? I guess I will play it safe and say to go ahead and start with the new one (So Runs the World Away) because everybody loves that!

Almost famous... LOL I just love it when I can get INSPIRED... and then plot and plan.. and have it all work out
even better than I imagined. It was such a great night... and to think it almost didn't happen. (lots of begging going on with
the management of the theater) I blogged some details on my MYSPACE page if you are interested.... but in all honesty,
I have a feeling no one subscribes to MYSPACE anymore...

Inception was great. I'm ready to see the Expendables. (I know, but it will be fun to see some mindless action). I can;t wait to see Sucker Punch, it looks awesome. http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3707110937/ Check it out.

The National and The XX are both great albums. I love the National's groove and The XX's simplicity. I'm ready to hear the new Interpol album.
